        Our History

        • 1974

          TPS Srl (O&G Surveying Services) was founded by Nicola Di Marzo

        • 1984

          Geotec Srl (O&G Surveying and Drilling Services) was founded

        • 1986

          Geotec Spa was incorporated

        • 1991

          Geotec Spa teamed up with DGS Spa
          (Set up by Osservatorio Geofisico Sperimentale of Trieste)

        • 1992

          Geotec Spa & DGS Spa
          performed first major 2D projects in the Apennines mountains – ENI SPA-Division Agip.

        • 1993

          Simec Srl
          (Mechanical workshop Services) was founded

        • 1996

          Geotec Spa & DGS Spa
          performed the Tempa D’Emma Project (Basilicata) – Fina Italiana Spa

        • 1998

          Geotec Spa awarded drilling contract
          – Western Geophysical in Albania- Blocks 2&3

        • 2004

          Succession of business to the sons

        • 2005

          • Geotec Spa & DGS Spa merged
          • Expansion into the civil engineering markets (Geotec Spa unlimited value qualification for participation in Italian Public Tenders (SOA))

        • 2009

          Awarded first major soil investigations contract
          –  Brenner Basistunnel BBT SE

        • 2010

          • Established a subsidiary in Albania
          • Geotec Spa returned to Albania as main contractor
            for seismic acquisition survey – Petromanas Energy in Albania -Blocks 2,3&E
          • Awarded multiple contracts –  civil engineering sector for seismic risk assessment and 3D scanning services.

        • 2011

          Became main Shareholder of Geologin Srl

        • 2012

          • Awarded multiple contracts – Italian National Road Corporation (ANAS SPA) and National Railways for the structural assessment of the infrastructures (RFI SPA)
          • Acquired insolvent company SO.RI.GE (specialized in deep core drilling)

        • 2013

          Returned to Albania
          to performed Important seismic acquisition Blocks 2&3 (Albania) – Petromanas

        • 2016

          Became main shareholder of – Geologin Srl and Geologin AS (Norway)

        • 2017

          Bought out Land Service Srl (main player in the Trentino-Alto Adige Area)

        • 2018

          • Established Greek subsidiary DGS Geotec Mepe
          • Opened offices  in Varna (Bolzano)

        • 2019

          Opened Branch  in Tirana (Albania)

        • 2021

          • Opened Branches  in Canada (BC & Ontario)
          • Partnered with S³ Smart Seismic Solutions to form – European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG)

        • 2022

          • Started preliminary activities for the Execution of 3D Seismic Survey– Enel Green Power (Tuscany)

        • 2023

          • Following our initial experience with the Directional Core Drilling (DCD) – method in 2021, we successfully drilled two additional holes in Sicily. These holes were drilled to depths of 600 and 800 meters, respectively, utilizing the DCD methodology.

        • 2024

          • Geotec awarded in two significant feasibility studies: the Future Circular Collider (FCC) project at CERN and the Einstein Telescope Sardinia.

        • 2025

          • Geotec SpA joins the Ginger Group, reinforcing its role in major international infrastructure projects.
